0.18.0 - Viskko and Everest

Hey everyone!

Here comes the patch for the upcoming playtest weekend!

The playtest will have specific time slots—check in-game or join our Discord to see when you can play!

  • Characters
    • New Character: Viskko
  • Levels
    • New Arena: Everest
  • Ball
    • Improved how the ball syncs between server and client. It should now feel more consistent when flying and orbiting players.
  • Deflect
    • Players within 5m of someone using Deflect will now be pushed away. This change helps prevent players from stacking on top of each other.
  • Yoyo
    • The ball will now curve back toward the player who used the ability instead of instantly changing direction.
    Dev Note: We've noticed that Yoyo is a bit too strong in its current state. This tweak makes it require more skill to time correctly, as the ball now curves back rather than snapping instantly. We'll monitor this change and make further adjustments if needed
  • Kill effects
    • New Feature (Testing Phase): Kill effects now play at the location where a player is eliminated.
    • Gravestone Kill Effect has been implemented as the default for testing.
    Dev Note: Kill effects will be customizable in the future, with new ones available to unlock or purchase. For now, we’ve added one for testing—more to come!
  • VFX
    • Reworked Mega Jump effect.
    • Updated Jump and Double Jump VFX.
    • Updated Dash VFX.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where killboxes (falling of the arena) were not launching players correctly.
  • Fixed an issue where players could be spam-hacked.
  • Fixed a visual bug that allowed throwable spam.
  • Fixed an issue with ball pathfinding where it didn't account for the ball's size.
